Description of the Project |
Regional and Local Roads Connectivity Project (RLRCP) marks an important step for the benefit of citizens. It foresees an impact on the potential growth of agricultural and tourism activities by improving access to selected areas, as well as strengthening the capacity of municipalities to manage their road assets.
- Budget: 50 million USD.
- Duration: 2018 - 2022

- Geographical extent: 3 districts (Fier, Korça, Shkodra); 3 municipalities (Fier, Pogradec, Shkodra)
- Beneficiary: 80,000 inhabitants
- Program Objective: Improve access to selected agricultural centers and tourism and strengthening the capacity of municipalities to manage their road assets.
The program is built on two main pillars: reducing time and cost travel due to better and faster routes; and the link added to tourist centers and agricultural producers' access to markets and agro-processing centers. |
